Residence Inn by Marriott Sacramento Downtown at Capitol Park

The location is perfect, only two blocks from state capital. The suite has bedroom and living room with a kitchenet, which is very helpful during our travel. The lobby is huge and kind of luxury for a 3-star hotel. Will definitely stay there next time traveling with my family.

I had booked a studio with two queen beds based on works per diem requirements. They upgraded me to a suite which was nice. I did need to work at night and I did find the room really dim. There was not enough light other than a small lamp at the desk. I had to work near the window because I was using a MiFi for a secure internet. They provide breakfast in the morning which was nice. The coffee was actually stronger than what most places would serve which isn't much improvement compared to other Marriotts I've stayed at. The breakfast. Selection is good though I'm out of breakfast person. I did get breakfast one of the mornings but mainly coffee. The first night I stayed there was it was a little noisy in the hallway but it got worse the second night and around 1:00 a.m. I actually had to call the front desk to ask him to deal with the noise level of door slamming and people screaming and partying in the room. They did somebody up up but that did not resolve the issue because 10 months later it was back to the same thing. The walls were very thin here so you do hear everything out in the hallway including every door that opens and closed at people talking in their rooms. The space is clean and it was good for a work trip. I would definitely stay here again for our work trip but not a personal trip.

Of all the Residence Inns in major cities in California, this is the exemplary of hospitality. First, the breakfast is much better than all the hotels in California I've been staying. Marriott or otherwise. Twice as many varieties than others. The best part is the service. Quite a few of the front desk staffs are superb. When I returned over 8 months later, the staffs still can greet me by name and recall minor details, without looking up my room #. I saw one staff took a guest to the breakfast area for introduction. And the hot tub is wonderful. Not the best, but very welcoming every night. Parking is not ideal but with paid service in the garage nearby. Street parking is heavily patrolled by meter maids.

I enjoyed my stay and the hotel was really nice and clean. Staff is also great! The only issue I had was they charged the wrong credit card. I had my work card and my personal for incidentals. After check in I received a text from my credit card saying I did a purchase from the hotel in the amount of my stay. I called the front desk and she helped me immediately resolve the issue. The downside is that the funds were not returned immediately to my credit card. Outside of that the stay was great!

Nice hotel in downtown Sacramento. Beds were comfortable and complementary breakfast was great. Would return to if in the area again. Felt safe here as a female solo traveler.

Cannot believe I've never stayed here before. Now that I have, I will check here FIRST for availability before booking in the midtown or downtown Sacramento area. Yesss!!! The suite was giant with a kitchenette and living area and see through dual fireplace into the bedroom. Cozy bedroom overlooking downtown and nice size bathroom. Full size refrigerator. Clean. Quiet. I was on the top floor. And then right downstairs is the fabulous Juju bar and also across the street a 1 minute jaunt to Capitol Garage where I had a vegetarian breakfast burrito because I missed the complimentary breakfast Very good spot close to all the fun places I love in downtown. Yay!

Absolutely fantastic overnight at the Resident Inn and many thanks to Jeff at the front desk for helping us with a late check out so that we could leisurely get ready for a wedding. This was clutch and we are so grateful for this friendly and helpful service! The rooms very very nice and newly updated. My only quibble is that the cleaning solution they use is quite strong and I'm scent-sensitive so I recommend they switch to a scent-free cleaner. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and free parking included in such a central location can't be beat. We will be back!

Very nice place to stay. Room was very nice and comfortable. Had to request a TV remote. It was brought very quick. There was a problem with my reservation at check in. Staff was very nice and very helpful ingesting it resolved fairly quickly considering it was pretty late at night. I highly recommend this place.
